The following sentences are probably in reference to Yathrib.
[33.26] And He drove down those of the followers of the Book who backed them
from their fortresses and He cast awe into their hearts; some you killed and you
took captive another part.
[33.27] And He made you heirs to their land and their dwellings and their
property, and (to) a land which you have not yet trodden, and Allah has power
over all things.
[48.16] ...You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.
[48.28] He it is Who sent His Apostle with the guidance and the true religion that He may make it prevail over all the religions; and Allah is enough for a witness.
[61.4] Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in
ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall.
