I have a friend who at the end of most events he is attending tries to arrange for a group of people attending the event to go out to dinner together.  This is a very good way to get to know people.  If one is interested in meeting a woman this is a very good way because its non-threatening and low pressure.   When given a group invitiation of this sort the woman knows she will have the security of a group and she knows that she won't be under pressure to date anyone she doesn't want to date.
